Schedule Coordinator Description – Sedona Winds

JOB TITLE: SCHEDULE COORDINATOR

BROAD SCOPE OF POSITION:

Assist the Director wherever there might be a need in Marketing, Accounting, or Front Desk Reception. Responsible for interacting with residents, staff members, family members, visitors, vendors and general public on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in collecting Rent checks and informing Corporate of all checks received
  • Maintain the Resident Trust Account and send out quarterly reports to family members
  • Maintain Resident Files including Archives
  • Assist Nursing with Resident and Employee Checklist
  • Send out mailings to Residents and Family members when needed
  • Assist Director in touring potential residents and visitors
  • Coordinate all aspects of new resident move-in, orientation and move-out including all paperwork as needed
  • Maintain resident and guest sign in/out sheet
  • Communicate with residents and staff on all issues through phones, intercom, memos, etc
  • Maintain daily communication log book for continuity of shifts
  • Maintain the emergency book for all residents going out 911
  • Assist Manager as needed
  • Assist van driver with scheduling appointments and maintaining appointment book

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required
  • One year college preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • One or more years working with the general public in a front-desk receptionist environment
  • Experience with long term or geriatric care preferred
  • One or more year working in a secretarial position helpful

SPECIAL SKILLS OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sensitivity to needs and limitations of seniors
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Desire to work with frail and elderly
  • Must be able to read and write the English language
  • Computer literate
  • Must be able to work on a full or part time regular schedule
  • Patience
  • Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations
  • Essential to be able to multitask

  • Must be able to hear and respond to all other emergency systems in building

  • May be exposed to contaminated articles
  • Work is performed mostly inside
